Move Forward
Together
About
I'm Olivia Previl, your trusted guide in navigating the challenges of family separation. With empathy and expertise, I’ll help you steer your family toward solutions that prioritise harmony and the well-being of your children. Together, we’ll work to transform uncertainty into clarity, creating a path forward that respects everyone involved.
Separation is one of life’s most challenging transitions, often marked by stress and uncertainty. At Accord Family Mediation, I am here to guide you through this process with care and professionalism. Mediation is a confidential and voluntary process designed to help families find effective solutions tailored to their unique needs. As a trained mediator, I provide a neutral, safe, and respectful environment where you can openly discuss and negotiate agreements that prioritise your children and the stability of your family.
Choosing mediation is often a less costly and more efficient alternative to traditional legal proceedings, saving you time, money, and emotional strain while fostering a constructive path forward.
With 32 years of experience as an educator and a background in coordinating and facilitating meetings at the Board level, I bring a wealth of understanding and skill to my practice in family mediation. I am accredited by the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and committed to helping families navigate this difficult time with clarity and care.

I had the pleasure of co-mediating with Olivia on a number of files while she interned with me. Olivia is whip smart, incredibly empathetic, and brings the experience of a career in education to all of her work. Olivia builds rapport with her clients by pairing her professionalism with her own life experiences. I would recommend Olivia to anyone looking for support navigating separation and divorce, especially those with children.
Alex Howard, ON
Olivia was an educator for 32 years with various roles with the Thames Valley District School Board. Her last position was in the capacity of a learning coordinator with the department of special education. I had the honour of learning from Olivia in my role as Learning Supervisor and was always so impressed by her professionalism, passion and dedication.

Offering families a compassionate, cost-effective, and collaborative way to resolve conflicts, build understanding, and create lasting agreements.
How the Mediation Process Works
The mediation process provides a collaborative framework for resolving disputes efficiently and amicably. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Initial Telephone Consultation
We’ll start with a free phone consultation to gather general information, discuss the mediation process, and determine whether both the mediator and the parties feel mediation is the best route forward.
2. Individual Meetings
I’ll meet with each party individually in a private online session to understand your concerns and priorities. These meetings typically last up to one hour.
3. Joint Mediation Sessions
Joint sessions are conducted online, bringing both parties together to discuss key issues. Each session lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the complexity of the discussions.
4. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
Once agreements are reached, I will compile a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) reflecting the terms agreed upon during the sessions.
